Party Chief and Field Survey Technicians wanted
We are seeking Field Surveyors with at least 3-5 years of field experience. Specifically, we need Construction Layout and/or Topographic Survey experience.
Knowledge in both would be ideal. Proficient running a VRS/GPS unit and robotic total station. Knowledge of RTK/GPS survey procedures and operation of a conventional total station. Able to read and understand construction drawings. Calculate layout points and make decisions in the field. A complete understanding of what shots and measurements are needed for topography, manhole & storm drain inverts.
Must be able to navigate a computer, internet, and Microsoft office products such as Word and Excel. Ability to upload, download, import and export survey data.
Field personnel wanting to learn the office side of surveying will be trained on the job. At Urban Terrain, all surveyors or trained and expected to work both in the field and office.

Draftsman/Designer - Full Time
We are seeking an experienced draftsman and designer. Experience in the Surveying or Civil Engineering industry preferred. This is a full-time position.
Candidate must be proficient in CAD. Must be able to handle multiple projects from start to finish with minimal guidance or supervision.
Typical projects include Subdivision Plans, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Existing Conditions Plans, Topographic Surveys, and As-Built drawings.
Day to day tasks will include:
- preparing projects prior to field work being conducted
- calculating and exporting points from CAD for the field crews
- importing and interpreting field data
- generating 3d surfaces
- calculating boundary closures and parcel acreage
Candidate is expected to perform deed research in multiple counties throughout Pennsylvania; Research and interpret zoning and subdivision ordinances in multiple townships; Attendance at evening township meetings for subdivision or zoning approval may be required.
The candidate should also be proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel, and have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Candidates will work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Land Surveyor.
Salary will be synonymous with experience.

Must be able to handle multiple projects from start to finish with minimal guidance or supervision.
